Intros are boring, so just buckle in

Let me set the scene.... I'm writing from a work home in the Poconos in Pennsylvania. I make note of this because where my head hits the pillow is frequently in question. The sun is sunk below the horizon, leaving the sky yellow. I have tea being brewed (not a tea drinker). I have some powdered goat milk cooling in the freezer for said tea (not a goat milk drinker). All of this is done deliberately to experience in parallel with writing a blog (not a blog writer). I have my headphones in, Yeti episode 10 performing its speech to my unconscious. I'm ready to go.
I want to start with a super positive story. This is something a lot of us can relate to and for many others, something they hope to encounter for themselves. This is the story of how i met Tony Taco Soprano

My work takes me away from home for ~5 days a week and I had been on a particularly hard stretch. It was the final game between the Denver Nuggets and Miami Heat. I hadn't watched a single game before this but at this point any excuse to get out of the hotel room was a welcomed opportunity. I told myself to just watch the game and have a few drinks and then retire back to the room that is conveniently attached via parking lot. To no ones surprise I finished the game with a great new fuzzy view of the world thanks to the accompanying liters of beer. Feeling froggy, I played some pool and chatted and it was time to go.
I venture through the parking lot to my truck for some nightcap pretzels. I sit there in my driver seat with the door ajar, listening to nothing but crickets and me absolutely munching on my midnight snack. All of a sudden this little puppy runs out of the darkness and makes a bee-line for me. He immediately tries jumping into my truck and needing attention. I drunkenly obliged by sitting on the cold pavement and leaning against my truck. Feet stretched out and head back, I comforted this poor pup by letting him dance all over me. We both calmed down and I started to think more rationally, knowing his owner is somewhere out here in the open lot. I stand and look everywhere and see no one. I waited for nearly an hour and needed to make a game time decision.
So I did what any sane person would do, I carried him like a baby to my hotel room. We played fetch a while with my dirty shirt and gave him every pat on the head I could muster. At this point I hadn't heard him bark or make any noise other than his fast hot breaths while we play. So pet fees be damned, I think I'm going to get away with sneaking this lil guy in.
I wake up the next morning next to this pup and I have a lot of things to figure.
1: Everything there is to know about raising a dog
2: I'm on the road for the next 4 days with a dog and no supplies
3: My work day starts in 1 hour........
