Tony Goes to Camp

This story continuation is brought to you by the camper I am currently stuffed into and the reheated seafood boil fingerling potatoes I am flicking into my open mouth. Currently my head is resting in Southern Jersey. I am repairing a high ropes course and zipline for a school out here and by night I have been taking up residency at the local bar. The drink is fine but the food keeps me coming back. The food out here does a lot of the heavy lifting for the tourism; the traffic is enough to justify homicide.
So, ahead of me is 2 more days of zipline training, 8 hours of driving, and a little chihuahua who is absolutely glued to my side. Fortunately, in my line of work, I am often surrounded by giving and kind people. I approach the camp for my second of three days of training and now I come bearing a little gift. One by one my students stagger to the site and instantly begin to glow at the site of a puppy. I mean, who can blame them. I have tony tied to the zipline with a long piece of para-cord. Essential giving him a 800' dog runner. He could be doing a lot worse.
With the support of their awesome management and staff, we got him fully suited up with food and treats and even some camp swag. This little man was the king of the camp for those days. I had workers from all around the camp approaching my training asking to see the mystery and nameless parking lot dog. We made it through the training, but not without staying the night on site inside a staffs sleeping bag with them and making front page of the camp website. This dude is getting the celebrity treatment and we barely know him.

We left the camp and made it through the 8 hour drive. He spent most of it sleeping between my legs under the steering wheel. I got him home and my partner Kaitlyn O'maley and I took him to the vet for a full work up. He is still getting the celebrity treatment daily and a very, very happy dog.
